CCTV Explained

CCTV is the abbreviated form of (Closed Circuit Television), which simply means video cameras are used to transmit signals to a few monitors located in a control room. It is very much different from broadcast television; in the sense here the signals are not put on the air openly, as in the case of broadcast television, its signal is transmitted in the form of point to multi-point, mesh wireless or point to point (P2P) links too. All video cameras perform this function, but these video cameras are generally used for security purposes like in banks, malls, military, airports etc.
In industrial sectors, sometimes where humans can't go into a particular room because of its high or low temperature or maybe due to any other reason, CCTVs turn out to be helpful because you can observe the room through the camera, even if you personally can't get into the room or so. These cameras can be made to work continuously or only at particular point of time when you want it to. Nowadays CCTVs use digital video recording (DVR) features in its latest models, which was advancement in this field. Its quality is better and there are less chances of this one getting spoiled when you require it the most. It also has additional features like email alerts and motion detection. Now there are megapixels sensors available, which can support recording that can be send to network attached storage devices.
The first CCTV was devised in the year 1942 in Peenemunde, Germany by the company called Siemens. It was devised for the very first time to observe the launch of V2 rockets. A German scientist called Walter Bruch made and installed it for the very first time.
CCTVS are also used in subways in certain countries to ensure that everybody is indoors while the train takes off or while moving too. The use of CCTVs is unlimited for surveillance purposes, sometimes it is for security and sometimes in the case of a rocket it is to observe the surrounding. In certain cases human are unable to go, in these cases CCTVs come handy. Many culprits have been caught with the help of CCTVS like in major national events like bomb blasts, plane hijacking etc. Nowadays people even install it in their homes, so that they can monitor each and every movement of their children in their absence too. So in short it is good to install a CCTV camera if you are in earnest need of security.
